AND HE SAID TO ME, THESE
ARE THEY WHICH COME OUT OF GREAT TRIBULATION
AND HAVE WASHED THEIR ROBES AND
MADE THEM WHITE IN THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB. REV.VII 14
NOTE: In between Sarah, wife of Neil Carter on the last row and Gasque, the
first row at the gate entrance, there is a fat lighter wooden marker and
no name but a picture in my survey. As I was leaving the cemetery, which is
up on a hill, it looked like there were more tombstones farther on toward the
left side in the wooded area but inside the fence. There is a small trench
on the left side within the fenced-in cemetery, but I couldn't really look hard
for any more graves. The area was really overgrown with weeds, bushes, and
falling trees, and there had either been a fire or someone had tried to clean
out the brush and trees with fire. (See picture.)

Notes added 9 Dec 2001:
An earlier survey done by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bradfield can be found in the
Dillon Cemetery book (DAR Project), p. 57. Although the survey is undated,
we can assume that it was conducted no later than 1976, possibly in 1975 for
the Bicentennial Project, but the actual date is unknown. All tombstones
listed in this earlier survey were also found in Dec 2001.
Mr. and Mrs. Bradfield noted a set of graves on the other side of the ditch
mentioned by Sheila Berry, and they remarked "These markers are separated by a
ditch and some distance from preceeding markers. We question whether they
are of our family - names are not familiar." Their survey of these graves
follows:
Elisha Inman, b. 1824 - d. Oct. 2, 1893
Sandy Bethea, b. 1822 - d. 1898

Daniel Bethea, Died Dec. 19, 1893, age 54 years
Pennie Bethea, Died Oct. 14, 1874, age 56 years
Louisa Mace, b. 1846 - d. May 25, 1889
