Miss C P Hall
Special to the State.

Dillon-August 10-Miss Catherine Priscilla Hall, familiarly and lovingly known within the sacred circle of her devoted family and friends as "Aunt Sellia" (? Hard to read to microfilm…cgk) died suddenly at the home of her nephew, Mr J E Sprunt, on the morning of the 8th at about 11 o'clock, and her remains were taken last evening for interment to the family burying ground in Hallville, NC.

Miss Hall was about 76 years old and wonderfully preserved in mind and body for one of her age. She was in her usual perfect health up to the breakfast hour and, when called to **** the family at the morning meal, she was engaged as her usual custom at that hour, in her morning devotions; and quietly laying a book of sacred selections appropriate to every day in the year aside, where it was afterwards found laid face downwards opened to "August 8th", she took her seat with the others at the table with the customary cheerful greeting she always gave.

In a few moments Mrs Sprunt saw an expression in her face that indicated an alarming condition. Aid was summoned and everything done that loving hearts could suggest to willing hands, but death came in about two hours from an apoplectic stroke.
