Tribute of Respect
Dalcho Lodge, No 160 AFM
Feb 21, 1874
Whereas, it has pleased the Grand Master of the Universe to call "off" our
deceased Brother, S. A. Hargrove from the earthly labors to heavenly
refreshments and,
Whereas it is meet and proper that we, his brethren, who have been intimately
associated with him not only as citizens of a common country, but as fellow
members of the same Lodge, should express our deep sense of the loss which
this community, and especially this Lodge, has sustained by his death.
Therefore be it Resolved that in the death of brother Hargrove this county
lost an intelligent, public spirited citizen the church of which he was a
member, an active, zealous laborer, and the Lodge one of its ablest and best
members, That in respect to his memory we will wear the usual badge of
mourning for the space of thirty days.
Resolved that a blank page in our minutes Book be inscribed to his memory
Resolved, that these resolutions be spread upon the minutes and a copy be
presented to the family of the deceased with the assurance of our sincere
sympathy in this their hour of great bereavement.
Resolved that these resolutions be published in the county papers.
Respectfully submitted
