Mr Henry Jackson Claimed by Death

Mr Henry Jackson died Wednesday morning at his home two miles east of Dillon, following an illness of several months. Mr Jackson was in his 82nd year.

Mr Jackson was a son of James and Easter Lindsay Jackson. He was born near Dillon and his entire life was spent in the community in which he was born. He was a quiet, unassuming, kindhearted man who was highly esteemed by all who knew him and his passing will be mourned by a large circle of friends. Mr Jackson was also an excellent farmer and one is his community's substantial citizens.

He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Deletha Nichols, and the following children; Mrs Florence Smith, Mrs Minnie Wallace, Mrs Lernie Wellington, and Miss Domie Jackson, all of Dillon; Walter Jackson of Gaddy's Mill, Sanford of Floydale, Mrs Mamie Brumbles, and Thurman Jackson, Latta. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by one brother, Clint Jackson of Buie, NC., and one sister, Mrs Ira Jane Hyatt of Dillon.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Hamilton Cemetery at 11 o'clock this morning by the Rev J A Ward and Rev F J Hay.
