Mr. Monroe Jackson Died at Floydale
Mr. Monroe Jackson died at his home at Floydale Sunday afternoon.
Mr. Jackson had been in declining health for several years, but until a short while
before his death was able to make occasional trips to Dillon.
Mr. Jackson was in his 68th year. He was born and reared and spent
his entire life in the Floydale community where he was actively engaged in farming
until his health began to fail.
Mr. Jackson's wife preceded him to the grave several years ago and
the only surviving member of his immediate family is his son, Coy Jackson, who is
engaged in the mercantile business at Floydale and also farms in the Floydale community.
Following the funeral service Mr. Jackson was buried at Pleasant
Grove cemetery Monday morning.
