Mrs. R. M. Jackson Taken by Death

News was received in Dillon Wednesday morning of the death of Mrs. Roderick M. Jackson which occurred Tuesday night at her home near Minturn.

Before her marriage Mrs. Jackson was Miss Melvina Hayes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Hayes. She was in her 83 year.

Funeral services were held at the residence at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon and interment was at the Murchison cemetery.

Mrs. Jackson was a woman of fine Christian character and her passing brings sorrow in many friends throughout the county.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband, Mr. R. M. Jackson and the following children; Mrs. Margaret Rogers of Dillon; Clifton Jackson of Minturn and Owen Jackson of Dillon. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Virginia Perritt of Mullins; a brother, Mr. O. C. Hayes of Dillon and a half-brother, Mr. Boyd Hayes of Fairmont.
