Death of Mrs. Henry Jackson
Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Jackson were conducted at the home on
Thursday morning, April 8, at ten o'clock, by her pastor, Dr. J. A. Ward. A portion
of her favorite passage of Scripture, John, fourteenth chapter, was read and two of
her favorite songs; "Safe in The Arms of Jesus" and "There's a Land That is Fairer
Than Day." were sung. The pallbearers and flower girls were selected from her grandchildren.
Mrs. Jackson's funeral was the third to be conducted in this home in
less than one year. Her husband's funeral was on April 16, 1936, and her son's Thurman
on February 1, 1937.
Mr. and Mrs. Jackson lived together to "ripe old age". At his death Mr. Jackson was 82, and Mrs. Jackson was 78. They leave behind tem 7 children, 37 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Those who knew Mrs. Jackson cherish her memory and sympathize with the living.

* The obituary for her husband gives her name as Deletha. However the survey of the Hamilton Cemetery has Tellitha Jackson - born 3-30-1858 - died 4-6-1937.
