Gilbert W. Rowell Passed Away Friday

Gilbert W. Rowell, 79, died at his residence in Dillon Friday after a lingering illness. Mr. Rowell was a son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Dave Rowell of Dillon County.

He is sruvied by his widow, Mrs. Margaret Lock Rowell; two daughters, Miss Daisy Rowell of Dillon and Mrs. J.E. Barfield of Latta; five sons, David of Hamer, Frank of Salisbury, N.C., Joseph of Akron, O., James of Mullins, and Gilbert Jr., of Florence; two brothers, George Rowell of Hamer and Willie Rowell of Myrtle Beach, and one sister, Mrs. Daniel Lock of Dillon County.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 4o'clock, with Rev. W. F. Boyle in charge, assisted by Rev. Cole and burial was at Riverside Cemetery, Dillon.
