Funeral Thursday for Mrs. Amanda Locke, 81

Mrs. Amanda Rowell Lock, 81, died Tuesday night at a local hospital after a week's illness.

Funeral services were at 3p.m. Thursday at the Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Mr. Edwards officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

She was the daughter of the David and Nancy Miller Rowell.

Surviving are her husband, W. D. Lock; a son William M. Locke of Hamer; two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Berry and Mrs. Bessie Daniels, both of Dillon; two adopted daughters, Mrs. Lauine Ward of Dillon and Mrs. Magline Grimsley of Richmond, Va.; a brother, Willie Rowell of Dillon; 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
