Mrs. J.A. Robbins, Marion Co. Native, Dies in Seneca
Mrs. Elizabeth Ford Robbins, 80, died Tuesday morning, May 26, in
Seneca at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.H. Richardson, with whom
she had lived twenty-six years.
Funeral services are to be held today (Thursday) at 10:30 o'clock at
the Kemper Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. James E. Porter, Jr.
Burial will follow in the Hayes Family Cemetery. The body will lie
instate from 9:30 until the hour of the services.
Mrs. Robbins was born in Marion County, a daughter of the late Hardy
and Fannie Lupo Ford, and was the widow of the late J.A. Robbins.
Besides her daughter, she is survived by two brothers, DeVon Ford and
Junius Ford of Nichols; three sisters, Mrs. Coy Scott of Nichols, and
Mrs. J.E. Godbolt and Mrs. T.W. Godbolt of Mullins; two grandchildren
and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Robbins was an aunt of
Miss Frances Robbins, of Mullins.
