Samuel Taylor Rogers
Dillon--Feb 13--(Special)--Funeral services for Samuel Taylor Rogers, 80, who
died at his residence today after a brief illness, will be conducted at 3 o'clock Tuesday
afternoon from the Main Street Methodist Church by the Rev John Marvin Rast.
Interment will be in the family cemetery at Temperance Hill.
Mr Rogers was married twice, first to the last Susan Braswell Rogers. Of that
union three children survive; Mrs L C Elvington of Lake View, Lacy B Rogers of Dillon
and Earl B Rogers of Fayetteville, NC.
He was later married to Mrs Ethel Stratton Rogers of Augusta. She and a
daughter, Mrs Marie Stubbs of Dillon also survive.
