Mrs. Elsie Rowell

Mrs. Elsie Hayes Rowell, wife of Gene Rowell, died Sunday in a Charleston hospital.

Funeral services were held today (Tuesday) at Pyerian Baptist Church with the Rev. Lamar Hardwick officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, directed by Williams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rowell was a daughter of Lanneau and Lizzie Mae Owens Hayes of Dillon County.

Surviving are the widower; her parents; five sisters, Mrs. Shirley Graham of Darlington, Linda, Patricia, Carolyn, and Kathy Hayes of Dillon; seven brothers, Joe, Charles, and Danny Hayes of Dillon, James D., Lemmie, Robert E., and Levern of Charleston.
