George W Hayes, Sr

Lake View--George W Hayes, Sr., 81, died Friday in a Mullins hospital after a long illness.

Born in Dillon County, he was a son of the late John and Fannie Price Hayes.

Services will be today at 2pm in Kemper Baptist Church with burial in the Lake View Cemetery.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs Beatie Church Hayes; five daughters, Mrs Juanita Page of Lake View, Mrs Catherine Hyman of Virginia, Mrs Colleen Lawler of Newcomertown, Ohio, Miss Valdean Hayes of the home and Mrs Helen Sayler of Columbial; four step-daughters, Mrs Chester Hayes and Mrs Romie Elvington of Lake View, Mrs Alvia Thompson of Marion and Mrs Mayo Altman of Johnsonville; six sons, J P and Carl W Hayes of California, George W Jr and Lanneau Hayes of Lake View, Stacey Hayes of Mullins and Cornie Hayes of Florence; three step-sons, James Church of Parkton, NC, DM Church and Robert Church of Columbia; a sister, Mrs W E Church of Lake View.
