Asbury JACKSON, Sr.

Asbury Jackson, Sr., 86, died Friday, Aug. 26, 1994, in St. Eugene
Community Hospital in Dillon.
Funeral Services will be held 4 p.m. Sunday in the Dillon Congregational Holiness
Church with burial in Haselden Cemetery, directed by Cooper Funeral Home of Dillon.
Born in Dillon County, Oct. 31, 1908, he was a son of the late John L.
Jackson and Mary Powers Jackson. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Lower
Pee Dee Hunting Club.
Survivors include his daughters, Elizabeth Lane of Sellers and
Annie Grace Rowell and Peggy Williams, both of Latta; sons, Asbury Jackson, Jr., Melvin
Jackson and Richard Jackson, all of Latta; sisters, Irene Hathaway and Inez Teal of
St. Stephens; brother Marvin Jackson of Robbins, N.C.; 25 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren,
and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be
at Mr. Jackson's residence.
