Mattie Jackson JACKSON

Services for Mattie J. Jackson, 83, will be held at 3 p.m. today in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Cooper Funeral Home is in charge.

Mrs. Jackson died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999 in St. Eugene Medical Center after an illness. Born in Dillon County, April 15, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Charlie M. Jackson and Annie Hyatt Jackson. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Surviving are daughters, Emily Lee of Sumter, Barbara Gordon and Miriam Daniels, both of Charleston, Sara Anderson of Dallas, Texas and Patricia Townsend of Dillon; sons, Jimmy Jackson of Dillon and John Jackson of Sumter; sisters, Louise J. Musselwhite of Dillon and Mildred J. Jones of Dillon; brother, John Henry Jackson of Dillon; 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren.
