Per South Carolina Historical Marker: Originally Wolf Pit
Church organized before 1785, later called Wateree Church finally named Mount
Olivet in 1800; present building built in 1869. This church and cemetery are
located near the White Oak Community in Fairfield County, SC.
To reach Mount Olivet Presbyterian Church take the White Oak
exit off I-77; if you are going south you will turn to the right, if you are
coming north from direction of Columbia you will turn left at the end of the off
ramp of I 77. Travel until you junction with SC Hwy 200, where you will continue
straight across, the church and cemetery will be on your right about two miles.
If you reach the White Oak Community you have gone too far.
