In the name of God amen, I MARY
McKILROY of the Parish of Allsaints, District of Horry and State of
South Carolina, widow, being sick in body but of sound and disposing
mind memory and understanding praised by God for the same do make and
declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following;
First, I will and desire that I may
be decently buried at the burying ground on the plantation whereon I now
live by the discretion of my executors.
2nd To my dearly beloved
daughter MARY SINGLETON I give the use of the following real and
personal property during her life and from and immediately after death I
give and bequeath all the said real and personal property to be equally
divided amongst her lawful children surviving at the time of her death
their heirs or assigns forever; Viz, the plantation whereon I now live
on the east end of Long Bay with the house and all other improvements
that may be thereon containing 250 acres be the same more or less; also
four Negroes by name Old Hannah, young Hannah, boy Andrew and boy
Fortune with all their future issue and increase; also twenty head of
cattle marked with Under Square in each ear and a half moon under the
square in the right ear; also three feather beds with bed steads and
furniture thereto.
4th (sic) I give and
bequeath to my dearly beloved daughter ELIZABETH WILLIAMS one Negro boy named Jacob, one bay mare named
dolly and her mare yearling with all their future increase except the
said mare dolly should now be in foal then I give the said colt to my
daughter MARY SINGLETON
5th
All the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate not
already disposed of after payments of my just debts, funeral expenses
& c. I give and bequeath to be equally divided between my three
daughters MARY SINGLETON, ANN DUEITT and ELIZABETH WILLIAMS to them and
their heirs forever.
6th I give and bequeath
to my son-in-law EBENEZER SINGLETON all debts dues or demands he may be
owing me at the time of my death.
And I do make nominate constitute
and appoint my son-in-law JACOB WILLIAMS and my friend THOS. HEMINGWAY
my sold executors of this my last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal the sixth day of September in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and sixteen.

Signed sealed and declared by the

I give and bequeath to my dearly beloved daughter ANN
DUEITT one Negro wench named Hannah which I purchased of SAML. WALLER
with all her future issue and increase to her and her heirs forever.
