WILL OF JOHN MATHEWS,
I John Mathews of the State of South Carolina and District of Laurens being of Strong Disposing mind and memory Do make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner and form following- first I give and bequeath to my wife Hetty Mathews during her naturl life all that plantaion or tract of land whereon I now live contaning one Hundred and fifty Acres more or less Situated in the District of Laurens on the aters of Rabrns Creek bounded by lands of David Gary Jessa Garrett and Arnold Milner and at her Death to decend to my Daughter Olley Mathews her heirs and assigns forever.
Second I give To my Daughter Salley Garrette one Gray horse about fifteen hands and a half high Seven years old to be Delivered at my Death and one Large bible.
Thirdley I give to my Daughter Polley Mathews one bay mare about fifteen hands high Six or Seven years old and one side Saddle and Bridle on bed bedstedi and furniture.
Fourthly all the residue of my personal Estate after my Just Debts are paid I give to my wife Hetty Mathews During her Naturl life and at her Death to Decend to my Daughter Pollolly Mathews---------------.
Lastly I do make constitute and appoint Hetty Mathews and Jefsse Garrett Junr*. Executors to this my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hearunto set my hand and Seal this Twenty Sventh Day of Janary anno Dommini Eighteen Hundred and Twenty Six John Bolt John (X) Mathews (SEAL) A Milner Recorded in Book F-Page 22 Thomas Parker Recorded date not available And.
