Know all men by these
presents that I, Jeremiah Martin of the District and State aforesaid
for and in consideration of the Sum of one hundred and twenty
Dollars to me in hand paid by Andrew Bonner of the aforesaid
District and State, have granted, bargained and Sold unto the
said Andrew Bonner all my wifes interest in the tract of land
which the said Andrew Bonner now lives on,
lying on Sarratts Creek
waters of the Broad River, in the District and State aforesaid
bounded by lands of Thomson Robbs, Nathaniel Jones and others
being the tract of land which my wife Charlotta and other
Legatees of the Estate of Bryant Bonner deceased was entitled
to. After laying off the widow her Dower, containing five
hundred and seventy acres, more or less.
Together with all and
Singular the rights members, hereditaments and appurtenances to the
same belonging or in anywise incident or appertaining to have
and to hold all and singular the said premises unto the said
Andrew Bonner his heirs, Executors, administrators and assigns,
and I do hereby warrant and defence unto the said Andrew Bonner
his heirs, Executors, administrators, and assigns, all my wifes
interest in the aforesaid Tract of Land against myself, my heirs,
Executors, Administrators and assigns, and all other persons
lawfully claiming the same or any part thereof, this the 9`' day
of Oct 1851.

Briant Bonner & Louisa Bonner, heirs & legatees of the
Estate of Briant Bonner, Late of Spartanburg District, Dec. in
consideration of $678 paid by Andrew Bonner & Briant Bonner,
also heirs of the said Briant Bonner, have sold all that tract of
land in said District on Sarratts Creek waters of Broad River,

DEEDS: Know
all men by these presents that Robert McIntosh for and in
consideration of The Sum of Three Hundred Dollars to him in hand
paid by William Wheeler of the County of Yancy and State of
North Carolina the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have
Bargained Sold and Conveyed and by these presents does Bargain
Sell and Convey unto the Said William Wheeler and his heirs all
his right title claim interesst and demand whatsoever
Excepting one half of the minerals here by Exprefsly reserved unto
the Said grantor and his heirs; in and to the following part or
parcel of land lying and being in The County on the waters of
Higgins Branch on the North Side of the Caney River Mountain
bounded as follows: Beginning on a beach tree, Massey Higgins
S.E. Conner & runs with her line N. 26 degreess West Nineteen
Poles to a Black gum & hickory near Said line on the east bank
of the branch; Thence North 28 degrees E up the ridge to a white
oak on the top of the Burnt Knob ridge; thence with the main
hight of Said ridge to the top of Caney River Mountain; thence a
western course along the main lot of Said Caney River Mountain
to a Stake at the instersection of Cliff Knob Ridge with Said
Caney River Mountain, thence down the clif knob Ridge to or
opposite Massey Higgins corner Thense with her line to the Beginning
all the cove on Blunt Speculation land included in the above
limits not heretofore Sold: and no more be the Same more or less
Supposed to contain one hundred acres more or less. To have and
to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land Except The
reservations herein before made up one half of the minerals unto
the Said William Wheeler and his heirs to his and their only use and
behoof for even And the Said Robert McIntosh hereby binds
himself and his heirs Executors and Administrators and all
persons wharsoever to William Wheeler and his heirs for ever for
Testamony where of the Sai d Robert McIntosh has hereunto Set
his hand and Seal this 28 day of October A.D. 1874

Know all men by
these presents that I John Meaders of the State of South Carolina,
Spartanburg Co. Dist for Consideration of the natural love and
affection, which I have and bear for my son John W. Meaders, and
also for diverse other good reasons and considerations, me,
hereunto moreover have been given, granted, and confirmed and by
these presents, do give grant and confirm unto the said John W.
Meaders a certain tract, plantation or parcel of Land, whereon I
now live, containing one hundred and thirty six acres, more or
less, lying and being in the district and state aforesaid. On and
near the head of Cane Creek waters of Tyger River. Bounded as
follows, Beginning on a ches nut, 3 X near the mouth of a Small
branch, thence N70E.37.50. St 3X on Levi Moores line No 20 W.
34.75 13. Co 3X on Jason Moores line S70W. 23.00 Ches nut, 3X in
Michael Beardens land, at the head of Small branch, there down
said branch Chanin Maple, 3XS85Me.2.75 pine 3XS10W.10.00 Sasafras.
6W 3.00 Poplar, at a branch on Creek, thence down and Cane Cree,
to the beginning. To have and to hold the said premise, with all
the rights, Hereditaments, and appertanances, thereunto
belonging, or on anywise incident or appertaining thereto, to
the Said John W. Meadows, his heirs, ____ administrators
or assigns forgiving and further for the Same reasons,
& Causes above mentioned, I give to my Son John W. Meaders my
Road Waggon & Harness, and two horses Charly and Bull, one

DEED OF CONVEYANCE; 300
ACRES
To all to whom these presents shall come-I,
R. C. Poole, Sheriff of Spartanburg District and State
aforesaid, send Greeting. Whereas, by virtue of a writ of Fire
Facias [ Fieri Facias] issued out of the Court of Common
Pleas held for the District aforesaid and tested the Sixteenth
day of November One Thousand Eight hundred and forty at the suit
of Samuel Ezell to the Sheriff directed commanding him that of the
goods and chattels of Nathan Byars to levy the sum of Thirty Six
Dollars and Sixty cents with interest costs and
damages.
The Sheriff have seized and taken of the
lands and tenaments of the said Nathan Byars all that certain piece
parcel and tract of land containing three hundred acres more or
less, Adjoining lands of Robert Scruggs, Richard Scruggs and
others Known as the Battleground Tract of land on the head
waters of little Buck Creek and whereas the said premises with
their appurtenances -since the seizure by the Sheriff made by
virtue of the said writ of Fire Facias before mentioned have
been exposed to sale at public outcry and purchased by James Ezell
of said district and State aforesaid for the sum of Thirty Six
Dollars.
That being the highest sum that was bidden
therefor Know ye that I, R. C. Poole Sheriff successor to A. C.
Binad Sheriff-who be virtue of the said writ of Fire facias
aforesaid to him directed and delivered as aforesaid and by
virtue of the statue in such case made and provided for and in
consideration of the said sum of Thirty Six Dollars to A. C.
Bimad Sheriff in hand paid as secured to be paid the receipt and
payment whereof he the said A. C. Bimad has acknowledged and as
successor have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do
grant bargain and sell unto the said James Ezell his heirs and
assigns forever the said piece parcel and tract of land with its
appurtenances and all the estate right title and interest which
the said Nathan Byars of right had of and in and to the same. To
have and to hold the said piece parcel and tract of land with
its appurtenances unto the said James Ezell his heirs and
assigns forever-as fully and absolutely as I the said R. C. Poole
Sheriff successor might could or ought to grant, bargain and
sell the same by virtue of the statue aforesaid and the said
writ of Fire Facias or otherwise. In witness whereof I the said
R. C. Poole Sheriff Successor have hereunto set my hand and seal
the Sixth day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand and
Eight hundred and forty nine.

Ephraim Potter of the State and District aforesaid for and in
consideration of the sum of two hundred Dollars to me in hand
paid by Abner Potter of the same State and District aforesaid
have granted bargained and sold unto the said Abner Potter all
that parcel or tract of land in the State and District
aforesaid,
situate
and lying on Island Creek on the East side Containing two
hundred acres more or less. Beginning at a holly tree on A.
Potters line running a South East course to a stake on the Murry
line thence near a South Course on Jesse Murry line to a post
oak on the road running from Randolph Cashs to B. Cashes thence a
North East Course to a red oak on the Meeting House road thence the
road a North Course to an old path that leads up to James
Potters to a stake, Thence a west Course on said Jesse Murry old
line to made line to a stake, Thence North Course along Jesse
Scruggs line to a cherry tree and thence a West Course along
Scruggs line to the Creek thence to the beginning
corner.
Together with all and singular the rights
members hereditaments and appurtenances belonging or in anywise
incident to have and to hold all and singular the premises
before mentioned unto the said Abner Potter his heirs and
assigns forever and I do hereby bind myself my heirs and
Executors and administrators to Warrant and forever defend all
and singular the Said premises unto the said Abner Potter his heirs
and assigns and against any person or persons whomever lawfully
