James Thomas

In the name of God, Amen I James Thomas being sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memory do make and constitute this my last will and testament in manner and form as followeth that is to say my will and desire is that my loving wife may enjoy the land plantation and all my personal and movable estate during her widowhood, in order to raise and school my children, and or when she decease. If she marry my desire is that my land be sold and equally divided amongst my children and if my wife marry again my desire is for her to have and equal part in all my estate during her natural life and at her deceased to be equally divided amongst my children and my desire is that all the rest of my estate be equally divided amongst my children at the discretion of my trusty friend William Thomas & Rubin Wilks who I constitute to be executor of this my last will and testament and my desire's that they pay all my just debts and final funeral charges. Given under my hand & seal this twenty sixth day of September one thousand seven hundre & eighty seven, signed sealed delivered in presence of James Thomas (seal)

Postcript I desire that my mother have her living in during her natural life.
