October 7, 1909

Alf KINNEY, colored, of Dillon, died in infirmary in Fayetteville.

October 14, 1909

Mr. S. Lawrence PAGE died Saturday at the age of 55 years. Survived by wife and several children. He was the eldest son of Capt. Wm. PAGE. Married Miss Ella Harlee MOORE of the Robeson County family. Surviving children: Mrs. J. K. PAGE and W. W. PAGE - Sellers, Herbert PAGE - Georgia, and Miss Nellie PAGE and Otis PAGE.

James Henry FORE. born Jan. 4, 1832, died August 21, 1909. He was the second son and the third child of Thomas and Rebecca (GASQUE) FORE. He was a Confederate veteran of the 23rd S. C. Reg.; and married twice. First to Miss Mary L. KIRVIN, 6 children were born of this union; second married to Mrs. Henrietta (LANE) BRIGMAN, of which 4 children were born (survived by 3 - Joe V., Nina, and Rebecca (she never married). He is also survived by 3 children from his first marriage -Thomas E., Donnela and Mary Jane (all 3 are married). He is the oldest brother of H. J. FORE and Elly FORE (who went to Alabama). Second in his family, Elizabeth Ann married the late Col. E. T. STACKHOUSE, his next younger brother, Thomas, went West and died there. Daniel died in a Yankee prison during the War, and his other sister, Rebecca Jane, married Dr. W. W. HAMILTON. Also brother to: Miss Eugenia, Willis, and Tracy P. FORE (who moved to Florida).

Mr. Charlie H. MYERS of Dillon married Miss Mollie JOHNSON of Marion last Sunday. She is the daughter of Mrs. Thomas JOHNSON.

October 21, 1909

Mrs. Sallie J., wife of Mr. John R. JACKSON, died.

Maple - Mrs. Betsie MORRIS died Thursday. Buried at Pleasant Grove

Maple - Mrs. Blanche McCOLL died last week.

October 28, 1909

Frank BETHEA, [black], died last Saturday.

Elihu BLACKWELL, age 28, was shot and killed Sunday. Leaves wife and three small children.

Mr. D. D. McCAll, Jr. of Bennettsville, to wed Miss Henrietta SHEPPARD of Edgefield, S. C. on November 2.

November 4, 1909

Lexington, Oct. 27 — Miss Anna CORLEY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul CORLEY, married Mr. S. B. SHILLINGER of Skagit County.

Mr. R. S. ROGERS married Miss Bruce PARSONS on Tuesday.

Hon. E. C. EDWARDS married Miss Nannie LEWIS, daughter of A. C. LEWIS of Mullins.

November 11, 1909

Rupert GEORGE, son of Mr. Jasper GEORGE, died Tuesday at the age of 24 years. Leaves wife and one child.

November 18, 1909

Mr. A. B. WATSON married Miss Lucy HUMPHREY of Lumberton last Thursday. The groom is the son of Mr. J. R. WATSON.

J. B. WHITEHURST was shot and killed on Monday. He was 30 years old. Leaves wife and several children. He was a native of Norfolk, and was buried in Norfolk.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. T. L. LAWSON - a girl.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. L. EDWARDS — J. B. ‘Alfonso" and J. D. ‘Lucius Todd’. Born last week.

Miss Eva SMITH to marry Mr. Henry LANE on November 24. 1909.

November 25, 1909

Mrs. M. C. HARRELSON died in a hospital in Columbia on November 14. She is survived by her husband and one son, her mother - Mrs. Rebecca McMILLAN, and two sisters and eight brothers. Mrs. Harrelson was 26 years old.

Cleo, 2-year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. CLARK, died Monday. Buried at Mt. Holly.

December 2, 1909

Wade TUCKER, 16, died Monday from a hunting accident. He was the son of Mr. John D. TUCKER.

December 9, 1909

Miss Louise BETHEA to marry Mr. Leonzo Heman SMITH on December 21. She is the daughter of Mrs. Annie BETHEA.
