Fork, Dec. 28 - Miss Hattie May ROUSE of Fork married Mr. Charles Walter SHACKELFORD of Darlington on Christmas evening. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B. Rouse.

Oak Grove - Walter TURBEVILLE and Miss Annie STEWART were married December 31.
Miss Lena TART, of Latta, married Mr. M. 0. DICKENS on Dec. 28, 1913.
Latta, Jan. 1 - Tuesday afternoon, Miss Linnie SHERWOOD married Mr. E. P. MOBLEY. She is sister of Mrs. W. C. ALLEN & Rev. W. B. Sherwood and parents are Mr. & Mrs. I. C. Sherwood.
Miss Lula Etta NORMAN of Pages Mills and Mr. Horace Denson MOSES of London, England were married here yesterday. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Daniel Norman.
Mr. Lewis E. MYERS of Bowman, N. C. and Miss Mamie McKINNON of Laurinburg, N. C. were married Wednesday, Dec. 31, 1913.
January 15, 1914
Floydale - Last Thursday afternoon, Miss Lillie PLAIT and Mr. D. D. BLUE were married. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Platt.
Oak Grove - Mrs. Mary BERRY was laid to rest Sunday the 11th at the old family burying ground. She would have been 94 in June. Her husband died over 30 years ago. She left three sons: Steve of Zion, Wilson and J. Madison of Oak Grove.
C. L. ENGLISH of Hartsville died Wednesday from a bullet wound. He was in his early 30’s and unmarried.
Jim BULLARD (Indian), son of John Bullard who lived near Prospect Church died last Friday. Miss Daisy Eloise McLEAN and Mr. F. L. SITTON were married on Jan. 7th.

Bennettsville, April 30 - Mr. James Duncan MOORE died this evening at the age of 66 years. Survived by wife and following children: Miss Ethel Moore, Lillian - age 6, James D., Jr. - age 3, and Margaret Elizabeth - 4 months old. Buried at Moores Cemetery.
Annie Beatrice, 22-month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will FLOWERS, died Thursday morning. Buried at Mt. Holly.
Leigh-Irby, 18-mo. old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. GASQUE, died last Thursday. Buried at Roper burying grounds near Little Rock.
Sam OVERSTREET was shot and killed near Hampton Saturday night.

Ethel Pearl McLELLAN, 20-month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie K. McLellan of Hamer, died Monday, May 4. Buried at Kentyre. (3rd of 4 children to die?).
Mr. B. F. FENEGAN died Friday at the age of 64 years. Born in the upper part of the County. Survived by wife (former Miss PLAIT) and three sons and one daughter: Messrs. Reedy and Rufus Fenegan of Dillon, Walker Fenegan of Latta, and Mrs. Watson CURRY of Clio. He was also the brother of Mrs. Welcome QUICK of Clio. Buried at New Holly.
Masten, son of Mr. and Mrs. Baker F. GASQUE, died on Tuesday, one week after his sister, Lee-Irby. Buried in Stackhouse family burial grounds.
Mr. Bradberry SCOTT of Pages Mills had triplets Sunday.

Oak Grove - Mrs. Susana PORTER died Saturday. She would have been 70 years old in July. She was the wife of the late H. J. Porter who died ten years ago. Survived by four children: Mrs. J. R. SMITH, Messrs. J. D., H. S., and M. M. Porter. Buried at family cemetery.
Mrs. Elizabeth EASTERLING, wife of Mr. W. C. Easterling, died Sunday morning. (She was the former Miss LeGETTE, daughter of the late Jas. B. [eGette of the Free State section.) Survived by her mother, the former Miss WATSON who is now 87 years old. In Dec. 1877 she married W. C. Easterling. Survived by her husband and children: Mrs. E. C. NEWTON and Mrs. A. J. Easterling of Tatum, Crawford Easterling of Plant City, FL, Miss Mary Easterling and Mrs. D. W. WILLIS of Florence, Miss Lelia and Mr. J. Edwin Easterling of Dillon. Buried at family plot at Dothan.
George Duncan, 19-month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack R. WATSON, died Thursday. Buried at Mt. Holly in family plot.
June 4, 1914
Marion, May 29 - B. Frank DAVIS died Thursday at the age of 80 years. Leaves a widow and eight children: J. Clement Davis, Robert Lee Davis, M. W. Davis, Warren Davis, Grady Davis, Mrs. W. STACKHOUSE, and Misses Lizzie and Julia Davis, and one sister: Mrs. Wm. J. Davis. Buried at Palmer burying grounds.
Blenheim, May 28 - Anna Belle ROGERS and Mary EVANS - infant daughters of Mr. and Mrs. W. Z. Rogers and Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Evans, passed away in the night. Both were buried at Parnassus Cemetery.

Jasper S. BETHEA of Latta died Thursday at the age of 64 years. He was the son of Evander H. and Mary Ann Bethea. He married Miss Alice MANOR of Austin, TX. Survived by widow and adopted daughter: Louise Smith Bethea; and also three sisters: Mrs. J. J. Bethea, Mrs. Josephine STACKHOUSE, both of Latta, and Mrs. S. J. Bethea of Lynchburg. Buried at Magnolia Cemetery.
Miss Viola ALFORD of Floydale married Mr. Marvin M. McLEAN of Dillon on Saturday, May 23.

Florence, June 14 - Montgomery WATSON, 15-year old son of Mr. Isham Watson, was killed yesterday.
Edith Catherine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wesley WARD, Sr., to marry Mr. Bernard Ashley EDENS on June 30.
June 25, 1914
Miss Ellen WEAVER, daughter of Mr. W. A. Weaver, died in a hospital in Columbia on the 19th. She was 19 years old. Buried at Mt. Holly.
Mr. H. C. WEBBER died Saturday at the age of 67 years. Born in Charleston in 1847. Twice married. Second wife was Mrs. Dora A. PATE of Dillon who survives him. Five children from first marriage also survive him. Buried at Mt. Holly.

Sellers - "A. J.", son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. BASS, died June 12. Buried at Antioch Cemetery.
Sellers - Montgomery WATSON who was accidentally killed in Florence was buried at Antioch Cemetery.
Miss Katie HAYES and Mr. L. C. TALBERT were married Tuesday. She is the daughter of Mr. O. C. Hayes.

Bennettsville, July 2 - Zachariah J. DRAKE died Tuesday at the age of 71 years. Buried at Drake Cemetery near Blenheim.
Marion, June 26 - Dr. E. A. GASQUE (dentist) died early this morning. Buried at Methodist Church Cemetery. Never married. Leaves brother: H. I. Gasque, and half-brother: J. D. MONTGOMERY.
Dr. D. E. McEACHERN died last week while on his way to Statesboro, GA. Survived by wife and three sisters: Mrs. W. D. CARMICHAEL of Marion, Miss Margaret McEachern of Hamer and Mrs. R. H. BRASWELL of Rowland; and two brothers: Mr. Neil McEachern of Hamer and Mr. Joe McEachern of Florence. The deceased was 40 years old.

Bingham, July 7 - Neill McINNIS died Sunday. Leaves wife and four children: J. L. Mclnnis, Miles Mclnnis, Neill Mclnnis, Jr., and Miss Addie May Mclnnis; and two sisters:Miss Manda Mclnnis and Mrs. J. F. GILBERT.
Lou Wilhelmina, eleven-month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jas. H. BERRY, died Saturday, July 4. Buried at Mt. Andrew Cemetery.
Mr. James Drake PETERKIN died Monday at the age of 56 years. Buried at Red Church (?). Survived by wife, former Miss Eliza GOODWIN, daughter - Miss Nell Goodwin Peterkin, two brothers - John. A. and W. G. Peter Peterkin; and two sisters - Mrs. A. R. TABER, Jr. and Mrs. Robert ADAMS.
Latta, July 7 - Stephen GRIFFEN died yesterday. Survived by wife and one son: Howard Griffen. Buried at Johnson burying ground.

Mrs. E. G. GILBERT died last Monday at the age of 50 years. Besides brothers and sisters, she is survived by husband and six children: 3. W. Gilbert, Misses Edna, Mary and Blanche, and Mrs. J. M. TART, and Mrs. W. M. LOVE. Buried at Bethlehem Cemetery.

Bennettsville, July 27 - Ed. G. FLETCHER of Marlboro County died last night.
Nichols, July 27 - Enoch L. AYRES, 79 years old, died Sunday. Confederate veteran of 8th S. C. Vol.
Landrum, July 27 - Manning FORRESTER died Sunday.
Mr. Geo. H. GIST died in Baltimore at the age of 53 years. He was the grandson of Nathaniel Gist.
Miss Dora JACKSON died Saturday. Buried in family plot at Dothan. She was 47 years old, and the daughter of the late Reuben and Nancy Jackson. Survived by brother: Mr. F. S. Jackson; and four sisters: Mrs. R. J. MOODY, Mrs. Allen McKENZIE, Mrs. Flora WAGGSTAFF and Mrs. Alice Waggstaff.

J. D. ANDREWS was shot and killed Saturday night. He was a native of Fayetteville, a 40 year old widower. Leaves 2 small daughters. (ages 8 & 10)
Mrs. W. C. WALLACE died Friday. Buried at Pages Mills.
Mrs. Hattie REGAN, relict of late Dr. John Regan, died Sunday. She was 70 yrs old last Feb. She was the former Miss Hattie FLOYD of Robeson County, NC. Survived by children: Messrs. J. R. Regan & Guerney Regan of Gaddys Mill, Mrs. L.elia BRACEY and Mrs. J. D. ARNETT, Misses May & Dot Regan of Pages Mill. Buried at Regan Cemetery near Gaddys Mill.

Miss Annie F. WALLACE married Mr. Jessie ALTMAN of Drum, N. C. on Sunday. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Wallace.

Mrs. Vol MARTIN died in Mullins on the 17th. Buried at Millers. Survived by children: Aubrey, Luther and Don Martin; Misses Lilly and Victorine Martin, and Mrs. B. D. STRICKLAND, Mrs. D. H. ROGERS, Mrs. D. Antine HUGGINS, Mrs. I. M. EDWARDS and Mrs. R. Lattie MOODY. She was the former Miss Mary NORTON who married Mr. Martin in 1874.
