John Hollingsworth Truesdel, son of Hollingsworth and Eleanor [Small], b. Lancaster County, S.C. 22 Mch 18_6, 
d. 12 Feb 1862 [Old Fam Bib]; m. Nancy Harrison, b. Ala. 3 Apr 1827, d. Round Rock, Tex. 26 Mach 1916 [Mrs. Tisdale].  
He was a farmer and land owner in Lauderdale County, Fla.  In 1850 he administered his father's estate.  He was 
not located in the Census - 1860.  By 1870, the widow and her children had moved to Texas settling in Fayette

d. Kershaw, S.C. 21 Sep 1893.  Civil War: original member Flat Rock Guards, later Company _ 3d S.C. Volunteers, 
organized 16 Jan 1861, mustered Confederate Army at Camp Davis near Richmond, Va. 22 May 1861; 
promoted 3d Lieutenant between 30 Aug and 31 Dec 1861; elected 1st Lieutenant on reorganization 13 May 1862; 
wounded at Gettysburg, Pa. 2 Jul 1862; promoted to Captain 4 Jul 1863 and invalided to Flat Rock, S.C. about 
Aug 1863; present 30 Jun 1864 [last available roll].  This organization participated in all campaigns in Virginia 
through to Gettysburg, moved by rail to Tennessee, taking part in battle of Chickamauga and seige of Knoxville, 
returning east it rested in South Carolina and later at Richmond.  After the war, he was a well-to-do farmer
