Mrs. Kathryn Roberts Dennis, 95, of St. Stephen, S.C., widow
of Moultrie Quirk Roberts and Richard Chaplin Dennis, died Monday
morning in a Charleston hospital.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m., Wednesday afternoon, October 23, 2002,
at the Graveside in Magnolia Cemetery, Charleston. Burial will follow.
Friends may call at the ST. STEPHEN CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME
from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. this Tuesday evening. Flowers will be accepted

Mrs. Dennis was born December 14, 1906, in Bonneau, S.C., a daughter of
Caswell Middleton Jones and Jessie Hart Jones. She was a member of the
Rehobeth United Methodist Church. Mrs. Dennis was also a member of the
French Huguenot Society of SC, Milcah Temple #77 of the Daughters of the
Nile, White Shrine, American Legion Auxiliary Dept. Post #10, Amaranth,
and the Charleston Pharmaceutical Auxiliary. She was predeceased in
death by two daughters, Irene Quirk Roberts and Ida Roberts Hiott, and a
grandson, Steven Buist Hiott.
Surviving are two daughters, Aurelia Roberts Allen of Mt. Pleasant and
Katherine Roberts Kendrick of Sumter; two sons, Moultrie Quirk Roberts,
Jr., of Hilton Head and Joseph Rhame Roberts of Sumter; one sister,
Minnie Jones Bell of Charleston; one brother, Jesse Hart Jones of St.
