Charleston, SC. Funeral services were held July 22 in Greater St. James AME Church

Mr. Campbell was born February 18, 1937, in Ridgeland, SC, son of Floyd Gadson and
Victoria Campbell. He was educated in the public schools of Ridgeland, and graduated
from New York Vocational School. While living in New York, he was affiliated with
Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Upon returning to South Carolina, he became a member
of Greater St. James AME Church where he served on the Steward Board, Senior and
Male Choirs, and Class Leader of Class 17.. He was the widower of Flora "Betty"
Simmons Campbell.Survivors include sons, Earl Darren (Gail) Campbell of Summerville;
Richard Campbell of Columbia, SC, and David (Taundra) Campbell of Summerville;
stepmother, Queenie Mae Gadson of Savannah, Ga.; siblings, Joseph Campbell of New

Williard Crawford Crawford, 91, of Bonneau, a retired secretary,
died April 26, 2006, at a Manning hospital.
The graveside funeral service was at 2 p.m. April 29 in Harleyville
Southern Methodist Church Cemetery. Burial was directed by Russell
Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Crawford was born November 26, 1914, in Berkeley
County, a daughter of Levi L. Crawford and Esterly Guerry
Crawford. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and
Harleyville Southern Methodist Church. She was the widow of Mouzon
Crawford. Surviving are a grand-nephew, H. Rodney (Vicki) Dupree of
Macedonia; and grand-niece, Lisa D. (Scott) Knight of Douglasville, Ga.

Bonnie Lou Floyd Creel, 58, of St. Stephen, SC, a retired assistant
plant manager for St. Stephen Knitwear, died Aug. 23, 2006, at her
residence. The funeral was held 2 p.m. Aug. 27 in the Mt. Calvary
Pentecostal Holiness Church, Jamestown. The Revs. Eddie Knight and
Charles Readling officiated. Interment followed at Sunset Memorial
Cemetery, St. Stephen. Directed by Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks
Corner.Mrs. Creel was born Jan. 26, 1948, in Florence Co., SC, a daughter
of Loyd Floyd and Ethelyn Lee Floyd. She was a member of the Mt. Calvary
Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving are her husband, Foley M. Creel;
two sons, Loyd Anthony "Tony" Weston of Andrews and John Richard Weston
of St. Stephen; four sisters, Betty Bellflowers and Elaine Fort, both of
Bonneau and Catherine Black and Theresa Davis, both of Timmonsville;
five brothers, Loyd Dexter Floyd of Macedonia, and Eddie Floyd, Harry
Floyd, Herbert Floyd, and Nelson Floyd, all of St. Stephen; and four
grandchildren. Pallbearers were Eddie Floyd, Jr., Herbert Floyd, Jr.,
Lloyd "Bucky" Black, Bradley Weston, Christopher Weston, and Anthony
Weston. Honorary pallbearers were Douglas Floyd, Harry Floyd, Jr.,
Joseph Cotton, and Nicholas Bellflower.
Foley Mitchum Creel, 56, of St. Stephen, a former personnel manager for Gates
Rubber Company, died Wed., Aug. 30, 2006 at his residence.
The funeral was held Sat., Sept. 2, in the Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Holiness
Church, Jamestown. The Revs. Eddy Knight and Britt Peavy officiated.
Interment followed in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, St. Stephen. Directed by
Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner.
Mr. Creel was born Feb. 25, 1950, in Johnsonville, SC , a son of Leroy
P. Creel and Lillian Cameron Creel. He was an Army veteran and a member
of the Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church.Surviving are, two stepsons,
Loyd Anthony "Tony" Weston of Andrews and John Richard Weston of St. Stephen;
two sisters, Gaynell Floyd of St. Stephen and Evonnie Burke of Portal, GA; and
three brothers, Laurin Creel, Leroy Creel, and David Creel all of St. Stephen.

Joseph Russell Cross, 86, a retired school superintendent and tree farmer,
died Sunday in an Orangeburg nursing home. The funeral will be at 4 p.m.
Wednesday in Friendship United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by Avinger
Funeral Home of Holly Hill, will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Cross was born in Cross, a son of Joseph P. Cross and Addie Lea Russell Cross.
He was a graduate of Wofford College and the University of South Carolina. He was
an Army veteran of World War II. He was a past president of the Moncks Corner
Rotary Club and Cross Lions Club, and a past vice president of the Huguenot
Society of South Carolina. He was the founder and past president of the Berkeley
County Historical Society. He was a member of the National Education Association,
the American Legion, the S.C. Historical Society, the Sons of the American
Revolution and Friendship United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Julia Harrington Rogers Cross of Orangeburg; a son,
Joseph R. Cross Jr. of Columbia; two daughters, Gertrude C. Singletary of Cross
and Julia Lambert of Elloree; and eight grandchildren.

Pamela F. Croxton of Summerville
will be held Friday, June 30, 2006 at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was private. Mrs. Croxton died June 14, 2006 at her residence. She
was 57.Mrs. Croxton was born Oct. 27, 1948 in Honolulu, Hawaii, daughter
of the late Stanley and Sarah Goveia Pickarski. She was a graduate of
Sacred Hearts Academy in Honolulu. She was past president of the Briarwood
Civic Association and was a homemaker.Survivors include her husband, Joel
David Croxton; two sons, Mark Croxton of Virginia and his wife Heather and
Matthew Croxton of Columbia, S.C.; two grandchildren, Kate and Connor

A Funeral Mass for Joseph Robert Currier, of Summerville, will be
celebrated at 9 a.m. today, May 10, 2006 at St. John The Beloved
Catholic Church, 28 Sumter Ave. in Summerville. The Rite of Committal
will take place at Summerville Cemetery Mausoleum.
Mr. Currier died May 8, 2006 in a local hospital. He was 80.
Mr. Currier was born Oct. 26, 1925 in Rochester, New Hampshire, a son of
the late Joseph W. Currier and the late Marie Annie
Robichaud Currier. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a
veteran of World War II, in which he received two Purple Hearts.
Mr. Currier retired as a pipe-fitter from the Charleston Naval Shipyard.
Mr. Currier was a devoted husband , father and member of
St. John The Beloved Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Anne R. Currier of Summerville; four
daughters, Carol Laurion of Lakeland, Fla., Marcia Porter of James
Island, Donna Edwards of Summerville and Linda Crawford of Great Falls,
Mont.; a son, Robert J. Currier of Lebanon, Penn.; a brother,
John W. Currier of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Louise Larochelle of
Manchester, N.H.; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
