Memorial services for Dorothy "Dottie" Bailey Herchak of Summerville
were held June 27, 2006 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. The family
received friends in Doar Fellowship Hall following the inurnment.
Burial was at the St. Paul's Cemetery following the service. Mrs.
Herchak died June 22, 2006 at a Charleston hospital. She was 44.
Mrs. Herchak was born in Summerville on Jan. 19, 1962, a daughter
of the late Richard Lowndes Bailey and Dorothy Rogers Bailey. She
was a dental assistant and office manager for Dr. Bob Randall and
Associates for 25 years. She was a graduate of Summerville High
School and Trident Technical College, and attended the Medical
University of South Carolina. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal
Church. She was a member of the "Bunko Queens." Survivors include her
husband, Stephen Paul Herchak; one daughter, Brandi Lauren Herchak; two
sisters, Annette B. Plexico and husband Kenny and Ginger B. Major and
husband Keith; and one brother, W. Paul Bailey, all of Summerville;
and six nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her parents and
two brothers, Richard L. Bailey and Parker M. Bailey.

Mrs. Hoffman was the widow of Kirby Hoffman and was
preceded in death by a son, Frank Lee Hoffman, and a sister, Dell Potts.

HORNE, Robert Robert Lawrence Horne, 52, of St. Stephen, SC, a retired
boilermaker for the Boilermaker's Union Local 687, died Tuesday evening
at his residence. The funeral will be 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 20, 2006,
in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will follow
in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00
until 8:00 PM this Friday evening. Mr. Horne was born March 27, 1954, in
Charleston, SC, a son of Eugene Houston Horne and Lilly Cobb Horne. He was
a member of Mt. Hope Lodge #128 AFM and the Russellville Christian Church.
Surviving are, his wife, Valerie Humbert Horne; a daughter, Bridget E. Horne
of St. Stephen; a son, R. Bryan Horne of Conway; and four brothers, Gene Horne
of Macedonia, Buddy Horne of Goose Creek, Keith Horne of Tallahassee, FL, and
Stephen Horne of St. Stephen.

Michael Seel Horres, Sr., 77, of Moncks Corner, SC, a retired supervisor for the U.S.
Post Office, died July 7, 2006, in a North Charleston hospital.The memorial service
was held 6 p.m. July 10 in the Chapel of the Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner.
Interment was private.Mr. Horres was born October 22, 1928, in Charleston, SC, a son of
Francis Horres and Mary Elizabeth Seel Horres. He was a member of the Moncks Corner
United Methodist Church, an army veteran of the Occupation of Japan, a Past Master of
Landmark Masonic Lodge #76 A.F.M., a lifetime member of the Berkeley Lodge #269 A.F.M.,
and a former member of the Charleston Yacht Club. Mr. Horres was an avid fisherman and
gardener who loved his daylilies. He was a loving husband and father.Surviving are his
wife, Roberta Lillie "Bobbie" Horres; a daughter, Mary Susan Horres and her partner,
Annette, of Goose Creek; a son, Michael S. Horres, Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Moncks
Corner; and a grandson, Michael S. Horres, III of Moncks Corner.

Clyde William Hughes, 76, of Moncks Corner, S.C., a retired supervisor at the Charleston Air Force Base, died May 18, 2006, in a North
Charleston hospital. Arrangements were directed by Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner.
James E. "Jimmy" Hughes, 77, a retired employee of the former
Export Tobacco Co., died May 1, 2006. Mr. Hughes was born in Berkeley
County,
S.C., to the late Peter Samuel and Sophia Perry Hughes. He graduated
from St. Stephen High School in 1946 and was preceded in death by a
brother,
Stanley Hughes. The funeral was held May 3 at 1 p.m. at Wilson Memorial
Service, Wilson, followed by visitation. Interment was May 4, 12 noon,
at Westhampton Memorial Park, Richmond, Va. Surviving are his wife,
Bettie Joyce Rowe Hughes, his wife since Sept. 23, 1950; a daughter,
